Black Vs. White

(Click image to enlarge and see the sweet little designs on the t-shirts)
Black Vs White - the two opposites, that always go well together. Today I've made a rather casual combos with the always in fashion jeans and tee shirts.
1. Chick number one chose to wear a Neon Lines Oversized t-shirt, combined with Acid Black Vans jeans.
2. Number two chose one of my favourite Coloured Mirror Vest (I'm gonna kill her!) and Kate Vapour Leggings.
3. Number three was getting on my nerves, because she went mad, cos she said she was supposed to wear the Neon tee, but number One stole it from her in the changing room.. girls... Anyway, so the mad number three now is wearing a crazily designed Exploding tee by 55DSL with Ripped Denim Leggings.
4. Chick number four wasn't pretentious at all... so I chose for her a black Tiger tee by Free Gold Watch with my personal favourite Astara Wash Indigo Jeans.

Too many dresses

Hello everyone! Today I felt like wearing a dress, but found out that the only one I have is super official boring @%^black #$ dress, which I've worn only twice - on my cousin's wedding, and at my father's birthday. So, typically me, I spent quite a lot of time browsing for a colourful, funky, cocktail dress, and again, I chose ASOS.com for that occasion.

The conception I chose is pretty simple. The dresses are asymmetrical, not too extravagant, and the most important - they got COLOURS!

    1. Number One is wearing a loose, silk Kimono dress with some really sweet designs, that makes it stand out from the boring black dress crowd

    2. Chick number Two is wearing a tight Quontum Multi Stripe Bandeau Dress which can be perfectly combined with accessories and/or shoes of any colour.

    3. Number Three has chosen something rather more classical combination black and white asymmetrical outfit - perfect for both casual and official wearing. This is the ASOS Colour Block Jersey Drape Dress.

   4. Hot chick number Four is feeling jealous of number Two and chose the same outfit, but different model of the Quontum Low Back Stripe Detail Mini Dress. The colourful and sexy back of the dress compensates the plainness from the front of the dress.

Sofia Design Week is in Sofia!!

Sofia Design Week is the first design festival to come to Bulgaria. The exhibition aims at transforming the city into a vibrant design capital. The event is organized and supported by Dutch and French embassies, along with the Bulgarian government, as well as lots of different brands; which indicates that the event itself is not just some random exhibition of ,what they call, "independent artists" (not that I don't like them ;) ), but rather shows us the best works of artists and desginers from a multitude of countries It's first aim was to welcome some of the most avangard designers from across the world.  From 05-12 June 2009 there will be 25 exhibitions in 11 different places - from galleries to apartments. The artists are mainly from the Netherlands (I don't need to wonder why they have so much imagination after walking into a coffee shop) as well as from France, USA, UK, Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium, Greece, and Spain. The exhibitions vary in themes from innovative furniture, to weird typographical installations. Since the specific details on all the exhibitions are too many to describe, and I don't plan on sitting here all night, I'll forward you to a site where you can check out the ideas and info on each separate designers' creations.

Sofia Design Week includes workshops, lectures, and chill-out zones with free drinks and guest DJs, which makes it even more attractive for the people who esteem art, originality, and like having fun, of course. There's lots of neat stuff to learn during the expostions ranging from stuff like communication, product design to graphic design, and you can talk to the artists, and workshops, exchanging ideas, and find out some of the stuff that's in store for the future.

Beachy

I don't know about you, but I'm not a nudist, even though I still haven't bought any swimwear for this summer, already having made my holiday plans. Anyway, it's through my search for some interesting swimwear that I fell upon the models displayed above. This summer, I'm betting the hype's gonna be on these one pieced swimsuits, with their various funky designs, since it seems most people've gotten bored of the single coloured two piece ones you see in nearly every shop you walk into, while truly be in the search for something like the above. The Miss Sixty's Kiss Swimming Suit was perfect for me, since it had exactly the design I was looking for. The model and shape is very original - it has stylish cutouts on the sides, and the back is actually in two pieces, along with it's original reflective pattern, and to me that just about sums up what I search for in swimwear. Another one I thought worth mentioning was the Insight's Supernatural Bathing Suit - a combination of the always fashionable contrast between black and white, and some illustrations (zoomed picture) by Natalie Wood (One of the Insight's designers). After all, you should wear whatever you feel comfortable in and have fun. Since I can't make up my mind about those two beach outfits, I think I'm gonna go nude this summer:) Hope my boyfriend doesn't mind :)

Timber! by Straight Line Designs

"We design and build what you can't find in stores. It's not what we've done; its what we're going to do next” this is the motto of a company I recently discovered called Straight Line Designs. Their innovative ideas are probably not something you'd see daily, and some of their products are really creative, and above all original, say, your, "furniture fantasies come true."

This imitation of a timber log, that is ecofriendly, serves the purpose of an iPod Dock, and is amongst the many recent novelties that Straight Line Designs have been coming up with. This amazing, but yet strange iPod Dock also acts as a set of speakers, sound is emitted from the sides through small holes and there are various buttons to control the functions on top, and I also think you get a really long warranty on this, since nobody is really going to think of stealing a log from your room, but you'd have to double check that...

Eric and Tami Soyring are a married couple, both into design, and their interest in the subject is what led them to create the Staight Line Designs company, with, as it's purpose, that of creating and design products that showed originality and creativity. The guy, who is actually a craftsman, is more into manufacturing and building your ideas, while Tami is the person that comes up with the ideas, looks like female domination in the family, sorry Eric.

So, if you find yourself sitting in the toilet, thinking about a system that could wipe, wash, dry and even perfume your buttocks in 30 seconds, and, on top of everything, looks awesome, then don't hesitate to contact Straight Line Designs, and the best bit is that they ship worldwide too :)

wicked

I was looking for some tights with sweet designs on them, when I discovered Karl Grandin. Sweet! I just love all the little random colorful bits in their designs!
