I suppose it's a bit late to write about Ableton Live 8, since it was released, according to your net calender, ages ago, but I still felt like it since I spent the last few weeks toying with it like mad, although this latest version of Ableton's long line of music production programs doesn't seem, at first glance to be much better than it's predecessor, Live 7, we soon see the difference.
Between it's huge repacked library, full of tons of everything, ranging from percs to really sweet bass synths, and renewed effects, including a vocoder, which really does the job :)
Which reminded me of an interview I watched which kind of shows us that, perhaps the Ableton crew is so secretive, it doesn't even keep it's staff up to date with stuff.
Apparently even Robert Henke didn't know what was going on, turns out he was wrong, lots of people need a vocoder, I mean think of Yuksek's stuff, I really couldn't believe he thought nobody needs it, there's barely anyone out there, that produces music that doesn't want to work with one, but before I get carried away, check out these vids with some tutorials and a look around at some of the latest features, enjoy :)
